Rescheduling
Gro supports two types of rescheduling, giving customers and merchants flexibility over delivery timing.
Types of Rescheduling
Section titled “Types of Rescheduling”| Type | What Changes | Future Deliveries |
|---|---|---|
| Order reschedule | Changes one specific order’s delivery date | Unaffected (unless “Update future deliveries” is enabled) |
| Subscription reschedule | Changes the subscription’s schedule going forward | All future deliveries shift to the new pattern |
Order Rescheduling
Section titled “Order Rescheduling”Reschedule a single order to a different delivery date without changing the overall subscription schedule.
When enabled, there’s an optional “Update future deliveries” toggle:
- Off — only the selected order moves to the new date
- On — the order moves AND the subscription’s billing cycle updates, so all future deliveries follow the new pattern
Subscription Rescheduling
Section titled “Subscription Rescheduling”Changes the subscription’s delivery schedule entirely. All unfulfilled orders are moved to align with the new schedule, and the Shopify subscription contract is updated.
Available Dates
Section titled “Available Dates”When rescheduling, Gro presents the customer with a list of available dates based on:
- The delivery configuration for their location
- Available delivery days and time slots
- A configurable look-ahead window (how many weeks ahead to show)
Where Rescheduling Happens
Section titled “Where Rescheduling Happens”- Customer Portal — customers can reschedule their own orders and subscriptions
- Dashboard — your team can reschedule on behalf of customers
