Rewards

The Rewards feature lets you add free gift products to subscriber orders as a loyalty perk. Rewards appear as banners on your storefront and are automatically included in orders.

Rewards are delivered through two mechanisms depending on the order:

When a customer places their initial subscription order:

  1. The order is created through Shopify checkout
  2. Gro adds the reward gift product to the order after checkout (via Shopify Order Edit)
  3. The gift is added at a 100% discount — free to the customer

For subsequent subscription deliveries:

  1. The gift is included as a pending item at $0 price
  2. When the billing cycle runs, the gift is added to the subscription contract
  3. The gift appears on the recurring order alongside the subscribed products

Navigate to Subscriptions → Rewards in the Gro dashboard:

  1. Select gift products — choose which Shopify products to offer as free gifts
  2. Configure display settings — customise the reward banner shown on your storefront
  3. Set eligibility rules — define which subscription products qualify for the reward
  • Product page / Build-a-Box wizard: a reward banner showing the gift product image and name
  • Cart: line item properties showing the included reward
  • Customer Portal: “Next delivery includes: Free Gift — [Product Name]”
