Winback & Reactivation

When a subscription is cancelled, Gro generates a reactivation link that you can include in post-cancel emails. This gives you a frictionless way to bring customers back.

When a subscription is cancelled, Gro generates a 60-day reactivation link that’s included in the subscription:cancelled event. You can use this link in:

  • Gro Flows — automated email sequences triggered by cancellation
  • Klaviyo — via the subscription cancelled event data

When a customer clicks the link, they land on a dedicated reactivation page in the portal showing:

  • A winback offer (if configured) — typically a discount on their next order
  • The soonest available delivery date (if delivery scheduling is enabled)
  • A “Reactivate Subscription” button

Authenticated customers can also reactivate cancelled subscriptions directly from the portal:

  • Subscription list — cancelled subscriptions show a “Reactivate” link
  • Subscription detail — a “Reactivate Subscription” button appears on cancelled subscriptions

Your team can generate winback links from the Gro dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the cancelled subscription’s detail page
  2. Click “Generate Winback Link”
  3. Copy and share the link directly with the customer

In Subscriptions → Settings → Winback, configure:

  • Discount code: a Shopify discount code to apply when the customer reactivates
  • Offer messaging: what the customer sees on the reactivation page
  1. A new Shopify subscription contract is created (cloned from the cancelled one)
  2. The winback discount is applied automatically (if configured)
  3. The customer is redirected to their subscription detail page
  4. A subscription:reactivated event fires for your email flows
