Segments
Audience Segments
Section titled “Audience Segments”Segments let you group customers based on shared attributes and behaviors. Use segments to send targeted campaigns and personalize automations.
How Segments Work
Section titled “How Segments Work”Segments are dynamic — they automatically update as customer data changes. When a customer meets the segment criteria, they’re included. When they no longer match, they’re removed.
Creating a Segment
Section titled “Creating a Segment”- Navigate to Segments > Create Segment
- Add one or more conditions using the condition builder
- Combine conditions with AND (all must match) or OR (any must match)
- Name and save your segment
Available Conditions

- Language
- Customer tags
- Account creation date
Shopping Behavior
Section titled “Shopping Behavior”- Total orders placed
- Total amount spent
- Average order value
- Last order date
- Purchased specific product or collection
- Never purchased
Engagement
Section titled “Engagement”- Email open rate
- Email click rate
- Last email opened
- SMS engagement
- Subscription status (email, SMS)
Subscription Data
Section titled “Subscription Data”- Active subscriber
- Subscription product
- Subscription frequency
- Subscription value
Pre-Built Segments
Section titled “Pre-Built Segments”Get started with common segments:
- Engaged subscribers — Opened or clicked in the last 30 days
- VIP customers — Top 10% by total spend
- At-risk customers — Previously active, no purchase in 60+ days
- New customers — First purchase in the last 30 days
- Repeat buyers — 2+ orders placed
- SMS subscribers — Opted in to receive SMS
Using Segments
Section titled “Using Segments”Segments can be used across Gro:
- Campaign targeting — Send campaigns to specific segments
- Automation conditions — Branch flows based on segment membership
- Analytics — Filter reporting by segment
- Exclusions — Exclude segments from campaigns (e.g., recent purchasers)
