Automations

Automations are trigger-based message sequences that run automatically when customers take specific actions. Build flows once and let them drive revenue on autopilot.

Each automation consists of:

  1. Trigger — The event that starts the flow (e.g., customer places an order)
  2. Steps — A sequence of emails, SMS messages, delays, and conditions
  3. Exit conditions — Rules that remove contacts from the flow
  • Welcome series — When a customer subscribes to your list
  • Abandoned cart — When a customer adds items to cart but doesn’t complete checkout
  • Abandoned checkout — When a customer begins checkout but doesn’t complete the order
  • Post-purchase — After a customer completes an order
  • Browse abandonment — When a customer views products without purchasing
  • Winback — When a customer hasn’t purchased in a defined period
  • Custom event — Trigger on any custom event you send via the API
  1. Navigate to Automations > Create Automation
  2. Choose a trigger or start from a pre-built template
  3. Add steps to your flow using the visual builder:
    • Send email — Send an email using a template
    • Send SMS — Send a text message
    • Wait — Add a time delay between steps
    • Condition — Branch the flow based on customer attributes or behavior
    • Update profile — Tag or update customer properties
  4. Configure timing and exit conditions
  5. Set the automation to Live
