Installing Gro Marketing

Install Gro from the Shopify App Store to get started with email and SMS marketing.

Step 1: Install the App

Navigate to the Shopify App Store, search for Gro, and click Install. Approve the required permissions to allow Gro to access your store data.

Step 2: Connect Your Store

Once installed, Gro will automatically sync your existing customers, orders, and product data. This initial sync typically completes within a few minutes depending on your store size.

Step 3: Configure Your Sender Settings

Before sending campaigns, configure your sender identity:

• Email sender name — The name recipients see (e.g., your brand name)
• Email sender address — The from address for your emails
• SMS sender number — Your dedicated SMS number for text campaigns

Step 4: Authenticate Your Domain

To ensure deliverability, authenticate your sending domain by adding DNS records:

1. Go to Settings > Sender Authentication
2. Add the provided DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records to your domain’s DNS
3. Click Verify once the records have propagated

Step 5: Build Your First Campaign

You’re ready to go! Head to Campaigns to create your first email or SMS campaign.
